John Lignos is a Principal of SNS Architects & Engineers, P.C. Mr. Lignos has a B.A. Degree in Fine Arts from Fordham University and a Master of Architecture Degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, having graduated Phi Kappa Phi & Tau Sigma Delta. He is a licensed architect in New Jersey, New York and Florida among others as well as a Professional Planner and a Certified Interior Designer in New Jersey. He is also a LEED accredited professional. He enjoys a close relationship with the academic world having lectured in universities such as University of Virginia, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, New York and New Jersey Institutes of Technology. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and holds a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) recommending him to all registration authorities for registration or license as an architect.
Mr. Lignos has over 36 years of experience in the design of residential, commercial, educational, retail, office and industrial and research buildings, being involved with projects from initial design and master planning through design development and construction. He understands the Planning Board process, having served as Chairman of his Township Planning Board and as a past Class I member of the Montvale Historic Preservation Commission.
Mr. Lignos also enjoys reading, designing objects and furniture, industrial products and graphics and constructing collages in his spare time. He has received a design citation from the American Institute of Architects.
